Microsoft NET Framework 4.0 must be installed:www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx

F-Zero X Strap on your seatbelts and get ready for futuristic racing with Nintendo’s vision of futuristic death racing in F-Zero X. This game is a sequel to F-Zero, which I believe was a pretty but aged and average racer from the early days of the Super Nintendo, thankfully the N64 game is a lot more fun, with 30 cars, twists, loops, jumps. F-Zero X is a fun online Nintendo 64 game that you can play here on Games HAHA. If you enjoyed this game and want to play similar fun games then make sure to play F-Zero GP Legend, F-Zero: Maximum Velocity or F-Zero Climax or just go to the Nintendo 64 games page. F-Zero X has been played multiple times and is another one of the many Nintendo.

This is the new imporved beta version of the 'F-ZERO X - Create Machine' tool. It has been coded from scratch using 'Visual Basic Net'. Just to mention that there are features that incomplete / not added let. You can still make a Custom Machine using this tool, like in the previous version. A few things that you will not find in this tool are:
- 64 Expansion Pack colors.
- Only make codes for USA version.
- No text input restrictions (any letter can type / pasted).
Feel free to suggest any improvements or things you don't like about the tool. Feel free to report any bugs / crashes that occur.
Please do not mention the following:
- Adding in a 3D / 2D preview of the machine. There are no plans for me to code this in.
- Mention any badly written English / spelling mistakes that you find in the tool.
- Saving / Loading the custom machine. It's something I would like to add in a future update and won't be programmed in in V1.6.

Cool, but entering the code takes forever =(

How do you input codes in the 'Project 64' Emulator. I don't know how. Also, how do you open up the F-Zero X Machine Editor?

@stuffedsonic:
It is possible to make the code smaller. I can reduce it from 41 lines of code to 24 lines of code. Here's an example (turns Jody's Summer Machine into a Custom Car):
800F8121 0001
810F8130 1F01
810F8132 0101
810F8134 08AC
810F8124 FF00
810F8126 00FF
810F8128 0000
810F812A 8080
810F812C 00FF
810F812E 0000
810F83A0 8000
810F83A2 8000
810F83A4 8080

800D44DC 007F
800F839B 0006
810F839C 03FF
800F839E 0000
If that works on the console (hopefully fzeroman can test it out), then I can modify the tool to out 24 lines of code.
Step 3: In the 'Options' tab, untick 'Hide Advance Settings'.
Step 4: In the 'Options' tab, tick 'Remember selected cheats'. Then click 'OK'.
Step 5: Open the F-ZERO X (make sure it is the US version).
Step 6: Go to System -> Cheats...
Step 7: Right click on the white box (with the tick boxes) and click on 'Add New Cheats...'.
Step 8: Give the code a name.
Step 9: Paste the created codes into the 'Code:' box.
Step 10: Click on the 'Add Cheat' button. Then close the 'Cheat' box.
Step 11: Tick the code you want to activate.
Step 12: Press 'F1' to restart the emualtor.
Step 13: Have fun.

Also would it be possible to incoperate a preview of some kind, because I have no idea what the parts look like except for the small picture in the editor, and i would hate to make a car and open up the game to find i want somethig changed and have to re-enter a code, However if this is too difficult to do or not possible that is fine. just a suggestion.

Ultimate X Slot Machine

Which machine are you trying to edit? Also is the Decal and Number color label changing colors after selecting a Decal/Number color?
The one reason I think it could be turning Black is because the first color that is selected when you change a color is 'Black'.
If you have this selected and change the RGB colors, the color will still be Black. Look at the Color/Solid box.
Selecting a different color and then changing the RGB colors will make the Color/Solid box the color you want.
I got to do some research on how to make the Color/Solid box be the color in the label when you want to change color instead of loading Solid Black.

Which orginal machine are you turning into a custom machine. <_< It could be that the offsets are incorrect for that machine which is why they are turning black (the default color). Or you have just selected the basic 'Black' color.
In fact, take two screenshots and post them here. One of you changing the Number Color and one of the tool (select the application and press ALT and Print Screen to take the images). Also post the output codes.

It's most likely the tyep of emulator your using. Project 64 Emulates F-Zero X the best: www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/project64.html
Or the Graphics Plug In your using is causing the problem. In Project 64, go to Options -> Settings. In the Plug Ins tab, make sure Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6 is being used.

I'm using Project 64, I am using the Grafics plug in you suggested and I am still Having the problem Plus now I have run into a new one, Thanks for all your help though, I'll look into it on my own, hate to bg you any more about it, but here is one last question, when I imput the codes, I copy paste the first part of the code into the box and type the second part, Should I not be copy pasting or something?

EDIT: I just thought of something, Culd it possibly be the specific rom that I am using won't display the custom cars right? I am going to go look for another one.

Hey, RadioShadow. When i had used it the first couple of times, the same thing happened to me. The number was black even though i changed it with the preset colours and the decal was all weird. But on the third go, it worked ok

What format is the rom in? Me (and I think fzeroman) are using the .z64 format.
This format is what the orginal N64 games are stored in: home.clara.net/smiff/beginner/roms.htm
Using .v64 or .n64 may have data stored are not the same as the N64 Games, and some data might be in a different location, hence why some data isn't being changed.
Might be worth going and downloading the F-Zero X - US rom in .z64 format.

after syfting through this tirelessly i must admit that the expansion kit is not hackable by a gameshark!

luckly this dump is online and i was able to go through the disassembly pretty substantually.

Zero

i do believe from what ive seen that if you just tell the game to load this/that it does it

soo knowing those hooks could help in the stretch to emulate

at the very least the expansion kit

you basically need a emulator to read/load/save at those

f-zero x has dd hook addresses

ex kit has f-zero x hook addresses

theres even addresses to idle the 64dd

i basically wanted to look at the disassembly to find something extra, something hidden.

all ive found really is the name 'ARBIN GORDON'

ofcourse thats 'the skull' s real name

theres also a mm gazelle listed

(hopes for a diffrent character/car the original)

i found data string of the start of meny things:

---start of track data----

00AAA420 - mute city 1

00AAA643 - big foot

-- end ------

-- start of driver names--

00EF7180 - captian falcon

00EF7660 - arbin gordon

(im not listing everything!)

in the list of modes

gp mode

practice

theres a listing of

Slot Machines For Sale

00B09DCC -- EAD

this address could be that special ead endings music

Slot Machine X 12

00AAD464 -- ddbgm_EAD demo bank_data_load

also

00AAD430 --ddbgm_machine editor_data_load

this seems to be the most interesting thing!!

00AA9010 - SLMFS_MEDIALNIT_MARIO ARTIST_CUSTUM_DATA_LOAD

F Zero X Slot Machines

could that mean custom cars where gonna be mario artist made??

and yes custom was spelled custum

--------------------------------------------------------

in the f-zero x japan rom disassembly:

802D0EEC -- ENTRY DD

802D44E8 -- DEVIL'S FOREST 3

802D65C0 -- 64DD_STREAM_BGM_READY

10 X Free Slot Machine

802D65DC -- 64DD_STREAM_BGM_START
